The hottest group in South Africa drill music G.B.G is excited to announce their latest mixtape “The G.B.G Tape” which is dropping on Friday, 29 January 2021. The 4-track tape features UK drill artist S Wavey, whose smash hit “Wavey” has over 3 million streams on Spotify. The catchy lyrics and effortless flow are sure to capture the ear, layered cohesively with the distinctively hard-hitting 808’s. The Masked Persona’s, who hails from the picturesque coastal town from which their name is taken (Gordon’s Bay Gang), is here to show they can also go hard. The aim is clear; to cement the drill sound in the local hip-hop scene. The project is available now for pre-sale on your preferred music platform via Ditto and will be available to stream on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, and Tidal.
“Drill” took the global hip-hop scene by storm, with no sign of slowing down. The result? An exponential increase in demand for a unique local version of this trap sub-genre. If this drop is anything to go by, the young and gifted rappers are in no short supply. G.B.G is positioning this EP as the catalyst to position the collective as the local up-and-coming “Kings of Drill”. The group has also in the last 3 weeks dropped 3 freestyles with videos in what has been a flying start to 2021.
